By the Numbers: Seville, Spain

We did okay in Seville, budget-wise. We had a wonderful time in a beautiful city. We ate out once a day in a restaurant, usually having a late mid day tapas and a drink (sangria or beer for me, sherry or a beer for Bill). We took a day trip to Cordoba, and visited local museums.

We filled Bill's prescriptions, stocking up on his glaucoma meds because they were so cheap here. We also managed to get his inhaler refill. We did need a prescription, but we used Mobidoctor (online service, a doctor in malta wrote a prescription for us, and we downloaded it. the service was $26 euro, https://www.mobidoctor.eu/).

Our budget was $4,000 USD and we spent $4237. The total doesn't include the trip we made to Cambridge to celebrate a friend's wedding. Rent was high, but the apartment was really special and perfectly located (https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/51535882)

that rent might be high by Seville standards, but is pretty cheap by Airbnb standards in the states... I think we're paying that much for four nights in the Berkshires. 🤑

part of our strategy is to stay at least 30 days -- that gets us a very large discount on regular rates. Our rent in Montenegro and Albania is substantially less.
